PODSTRANA IN SHORT NOTICE:
In the mid part of Croatian coast, in the very heart of Dalmatia is a small place called Podstrana. It is some 10 kilometers from Split , which is the capital of the region and the largest town on the coast.
The City of Split developed from the summer house of the Roman emperor Diokletian 1700 years before. So we can consider Diokletian as a fist tourist in this part of the world, and obviously he had very good taste .Today there is no more Roman jet ? set, but the palace still standing as a zero category monument and part of world's treasure.
So, 10 kilometers from Split , on the 8 km long Riviera lays Podstrana. The proximity of the airport (35 km), train, harbor, main bus terminal (all 10 km) makes Podstrana very accessible destination.
